ABOUT Caryn Anthony

My career is dedicated to helping

mission-driven organizations and the people who make them run.

Caryn Anthony has 20+ years experience providing expert guidance and training to large, small, and volunteer-run nonprofit organizations, as well as city and county governmental agencies. Her work focuses on capacity building for organizations in a wide range of mission areas including: human services, public health, community development and more. As an executive coach, Caryn works with individuals to identify their goals and to strengthen their professional skills through one-on-one support.

Prior to launching CLA Consulting and Coaching, Caryn spent 11 years on staff with Maryland Nonprofits, a statewide association of more than 1,000 nonprofit organizations, where she ran the consulting practice. Caryn also worked with the Child Welfare League of America in membership and fund development.

Caryn is an ACC level certified executive coach from the Georgetown Institute for Transformational Leadership and is a licensed consultant with the Standards for Excellence® Institute. She holds a Master’s degree in Not-for-Profit Management from University of Maryland University College, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University.
